Whether is summer and you live in the city or you don’t have any money to spend on planning a holiday trip to an exotic island or even you would like to explore NYC and visit places you’ve never visit before even though you are near to them, this is for you. So, here are 10 options:

1) TIMES SQUARE:

Going on a visit to Times Square you will be able to sense the spectacular feeling of being in the center of the world surrounded by neon lights, giant billboards, Broadway theaters, electronic ticker tape and television studios…
In the TKTS Discount Booth you will come across the huge red staircase which you can visit until 1am. In the top of the stairs you will be able to see nothing but the amazing view of the area and of course the annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, too.
If you get tired of walking you can have a sit at the new pedestrian-only zones which include tables and chairs. The area is also located near the Theatre District and Broadway shows, if you are a theatre fan.
2) EMPIRE STATE BUILDING:

The heart of NYC! One of the tallest and most famous buildings of the City. Visiting the highest open-air observatory, you couldn’t deny to take the coolest pictures of NYC’s views. You will also get to know the history of the building’s construction and have a free interactive audio tour about it.
As you might know the City is known as “The city that never sleeps”. So, since this fact is true is good to know that Empire state building stays open since late at 1:15 am every night.
3) YANKEE STADIUM:

If you are a baseball fan, this is for you. Visiting the Yankee stadium you will have the chance to experience the clubhouse/batting cage area on tour, the monument park and the “New York Yankees” museum.
4) BROOKLYN BRIDGE:

6) CENTRAL PARK:

The world’s most famous park. Do you have so much free time to explore the 843 acres of central park? If you do, then that is what you are going to see: rolling fields, walking trails, tranquil bodies of water etc. You will also see the Sheep Meadow and the Great Lawn sprawling expanses. If you were walking or riding a bike through Central Park this is the place where you can relax and enjoy the nature.
In the last season of the year, winter, Central Park becomes a natural piece of art. You can ice-skate at the “Trump Rink” or the second Trump-run skating spot the “Lasker Rink”. You will be amazed by the winter view.
If you like outdoor walks but you also like theatre performances, Central Park can complete both. So, in summertime, the Delacorte Theatre offers to people outdoor performances of Shakespeare etc. You will also can be able to enjoy free performing arts festival including music, dance, the Metropolitan Opera recitals and many more at the Rumsey Playfield.
7) BERGDORF GOODMAN:

Someone could say that shopping is for the women, but let’s be honest this includes men too. So, for the high level fashion lovers the “Bergdorf Goodman” is the ultimate centric luxe department store of NYC. It is placed in 5th avenue and it is well known for the most expensive fashion brands and the all-star roster of couture designers such as Alexander McQueen and Zac Posen. For those who might cannot afford anything of the store you can also check out the shop windows. This must be a dream too.

The largest urban wildlife preserve in the USA. It has more than 5,000 animals and more than 600 species. It’s a 265 lush acres zoo. Some of the species are: zebras, giraffes, lions, baboons, lemurs, crocodiles, cockroaches. Activities like feeding sea lions and penguins can keep you busy through your visit. If you have a family you can get your kids entertained in the Bug Carousel, the 4D Theatre and the Children’s Zoo. You can visit the Bronx Zoo 7 days a week.

The trip starts from the lower Manhattan to Staten island and you can have amazing views of the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor and the Manhattan Skyline. The ferry runs 24 hours a day and you can have beer until midnight.

A visit to Coney Island can always be entertaining. Including the 90-year-old Cyclone roller coaster to the latest addition of the Thunderbolt you can experience the excitement of this fantastic Luna park. Other institutions near the Coney Island you would like to experience are: the Ruby’s Bar and Grill, Deno’s wonder Wheel Amusement Park and Nathan’s Famous.
